University of Duhok Convention Center (UNCC)

Convention centre on the University of Duhok campus, recorded in the archive as "Convention Center (UNCC)" and "UOD Convention Center". It hosted ERHHG-2025 (29-30 April 2025) and ICRU-SDGs 2025 (23-24 September 2025), and is the announced venue of the Gulan Revolution conference of 26-27 May 2026.

Getting to Duhok: the University of Duhok is on the western side of the city, about a two-hour drive from Erbil International Airport (EBL). An airport taxi comes straight to the campus. On the campus: the centre stands on the high ground along the eastern side of the Maltta (Main) Campus, next to the Cultural and Social Center - which it is still administratively part of - and facing the city of Duhok. It is the dark granite building with the glass canopy over its entrance, roughly 200 m east of the College of Law and Political Sciences, and the way in is up the steps under that canopy. Inside the building: everything opens off the long concourse behind the entrance, which the university also hires out as its exhibition hall for book fairs and displays. Around it are Conference Hall CH1 (683 seats, stage, 6 x 3 m screen, translation and sound systems), Conference Hall CH2 (325 seats, stage, projector, translation system), the workshop rooms CC 1 (28 seats) and CC 2 (15 seats), a VIP lounge for 30, a reception room for 10, a cafeteria seating 75 for coffee breaks, and the centre's own guest house of ten bedrooms. It has been open since 2011.
