ICRIE 2017 was the 2nd International Conference of the College of Engineering-University of Duhok: Recent Innovations in Engineering, held from April 26th to 27th, 2017 at the Conference Hall on the main campus of the University of Duhok in Duhok City, Kurdistan Region - Iraq. According to the College of Engineering's conference page, its aim was to provide a forum for scientists, engineers and policy-makers from private firms, government agencies and universities all over the world to share information, exchange ideas and collaborate in the fields of Civil, Electrical, Computer, Architectural and Mechanical Engineering. Submitted papers were subjected to peer-blind review by two specialists, and accepted manuscripts were published in the Journal of the University of Duhok. The conference general chair was Prof. Dr. Jowhar Rasheed Mohammad with Prof. Dr. Ahmed Khorsheed Mohammed as co-chair, and it was sponsored by Darin Group and the Kurdistan Regional Government's Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
