Conference overview
An academic gathering designed as a complete research experience.
The Institute of Psychotherapy and Psychotraumatology at the University of Duhok, with the Institute of Transcultural Health Science at DHBW (Germany), is organising its 5th International Conference in Duhok on 26–27 October 2026. The conference is meant as a platform for exchange between psychiatry, psychotherapy, MHPSS, psychosocial and social sciences, public health and education, bringing together research, academic training and field practice. It focuses on comparative models, empirical findings and practical experience from post-conflict settings, with particular attention to Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, and explicitly invites NGOs to present their clinical and community-based work. Proposals are invited for presentations, panels, roundtables and workshops; the congress is in English.
